Innovative approaches

for innovative technologies

Green technologies are often not yet proven in the markets in Asia and Africa so commercial banks and equity funds are reluctant. Innovative financing is required. An important customer segment of green technologies is people in remote rural areas. They cannot be reached via conventional distribution channels - therefore innovative business models are required so that the green technologies provide a critical customer value and become affordable.

Innovative approaches

Engaging

the private sector

Sustainable development at a large scale requires the engagement of the private sector, as the financial means of governments are limited. Business models and financing schemes have to be developed, which make green solutions affordable and at the same time allow the private sector to get a reasonable and attractive return.

Governmental initiatives and international cooperation projects can provide an important impulse for the development of green technology markets, through demonstration of the feasibility of the technologies and proper business models.

Engaging

Promoting

the cooperation of multi-stakeholders

Cooperation with public stakeholders and multipliers is crucial for creating the overall enabling environment for sustainable solutions. Only through networks and cooperation with various stakeholders, developed solutions can be adapted to local needs. The introduction and dissemination of innovative green technologies require joint efforts of private corporations, the public sector, NGOs/donors and the finance sector so that private investment is unlocked.

We promote the cooperation of diverse stakeholders through a dialogue where the parties listen to each other, try to understand each other and interact with respect.

Working

on the ground

Sustainable solutions do not only include the technology, but also a proper business model, which allows the deployment. The business model has to be developed in close consideration of the local socio-economic conditions, as well as of the respective cultures in the target market.

We do intensive fieldwork for you - to understand the mindset and socio-economic dynamics on the ground, and to develop feasible business models.
