Due to our close cooperation with the private sector, we support organisations such as Business Membership Organisations and international donors to develop the private sector in emerging countries in Asia and Africa, and to create a favourable environment for it.

Our aim is to engage with the private sector as much as possible and to make development cooperation programmes more sustainable: Together with our partners we define the role of the public sector (Governments, donors) to be played in the various stages of market development (pilot/ demonstration/ early commercialization etc., to crowd-in the private sector and to avoid any out-crowding.
