- The conceptualisation of awareness-raising events (workshops, conferences, etc.) to engage the private sector, especially ‘pioneer’ suppliers and customers for pilot projects.
- Designing a professional business model for the considered technology to demonstrate the commercial viability.
- Selecting sites for the pilot project (in cooperation with local stakeholders).
- Socio-economic assessment of the pilot site (if needed) and support to build up a monitoring system.
- Developing strategies and concepts to engage strategic partners (governmental entities, business organisations, NGOs, potential suppliers, etc.) in the pilot projects, to promote the dissemination of results and facilitate the deployment of technologies.
