Field assessment of an identified business case (including assessment of qualitative and quantitative potential benefits for end-customers such as hotels and restaurants); business case: aggregating fresh produce, store them and sell them to hotels and restaurants (produce comes from own farms and, in addition, is bought from smallholder farmers).
Coming to projections of revenues and costs, based on collected input data.
Financial analysis (finance-model-based), including calculation of operating income (EBITDA), net income, and net cash flow from operations/investment activities/ finance.
Concluding and suggesting a payment scheme for simulating a commercial case, where the aggregator has to pay a defined leasing fee regularly.
Analysis of risks (e.g. under-utilization of cold room; lack of quality of produce especially from producers etc.) and suggesting risk mitigation measures.
Inputs on the agreement (between the German company and aggregator).
Conclusions in regards to the scalability of the case and to required subsidies to make the upscaling feasible.
Intense dialogue process with the aggregator along the whole process.
Facilitating between the German company and the Ghanaian aggregator.
